Conferences

The College offers a variety of rooms to suit different types of occasions; we have two modern lecture theatres with AV facilities, meeting rooms, dining rooms, and beautiful traditional function rooms. Our newly refurbished basement area also offers a clinical skills area with a fully equipped clinical wet lab and purpose built clinical training area.

1599 at the Royal College offers an end to end service for events. Our experienced event organisers will arrange for everything you need leading up to and on the day, including attendee registration, catering and refreshments throughout the day, AV equipment and full technical support, and accommodation with preferential hotel rates.

Our outstanding catering team will provide you with exceptional food and service for any occasion. Our imaginative, original menus are created using fresh seasonal ingredients sourced from local suppliers. We promise you a tantalising and unique food experience, whether you join us for a three course meal or a finger food buffet.

Our new conference management service, for clients hosting a large conference offers an effective solution to the administration support required in hosting a sizeable conference.

We will take care of managing your registration, planning and offer full step by step guidance allowing you to spend more time creating your memorable and inspiring programme. We’ll handle all delegate correspondence and sponsor administration, keeping you updated on the progress.

Our experienced event organisers will arrange everything you need in the lead up and on the day of your event, including catering, AV equipment and technical support, and accommodation with discounted room rates.

Lister Room

The Lister Room is situated in the oldest wing of the College and is named after the celebrated surgeon and innovator, Joseph Lister (1827-1912).

Lock Room

The Lock Room, named after Glasgow's Lock Hospital which closed with the advent of the NHS, was originally the drawing room of one of the College buildings on St. Vincent Street.

Glasgow Room

From its first meeting in 1602 at Blackfriar’s Kirk, to its home in the heart of this global city centre on St Vincent Street. The Glasgow Room is ideal for smaller meetings, presentations and private dining.
