Princess Alexandra Room

Where history meets celebration – the Princess Alexandra Room offers timeless charm for your most memorable occasions.

Historic beauty with modern grace

The Princess Alexandra Room features a glistening chandelier, floor-to-ceiling windows and traditional period details. Named after Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of Kent, the College’s first Royal Honorary Fellow in 1959, her portrait hangs on the east wall. The room has hosted many significant meetings, including a presentation by Sir Joseph Lister on antiseptic surgery. Its soft colouring and natural light make it an ideal setting for special occasions, celebrations and events.
